General Basemap Properties

The General Basemap Properties dialog consists of numerous pages for controlling the appearance of the map and the manner in which information is displayed or tracked. You can also define individual parameters for the display of seismic lines, using the Line by Line Properties. 

Note: The General Basemap Propertiess can also be opened from the Session menu of the Main Launcher. If you launch the properties window this way you will change the default properties for the session, however these changes won't be applied to any open Basemap windows.

General Properties

Project Specific: Map appearance settings that are specific to each project.

Common Settings: Map appearance settings that are common to all projects but specific to each user.

Cursors and Colors: Appearance settings for the cursors and colors on the map. Common to all projects.

Color Properties

Colorbar/Histogram: Appearance settings for any ribbons display on the map.

Colorbar Markers: Create and modify markers.

Fault Properties

General: Appearance settings for faults.

Horizon/Fault Contacts: Appearance settings for horizon/fault contacts.

Horizon Properties

General: Ribbon controls (e.g. posting format, scaling etc.)

Layer Properties

Layer Properties: Layer ordering and visibility.

Contour Properties

Contour Properties: Override for contour display settings as defined for the culture layer.

UTM Grid Properties

Minor Grid: Configuration for user defined UTM grid (thin/minor grid lines).

Major Grid: Configuration for user defined UTM grid (thick/major grid lines).

2D Seismic Properties

Line/Ribbon: Appearance of the line and ribbon for 2D seismic data.

Labels: Appearance of labels for 2D seismic data.

Posting: Shot and CDP posting controls.

Horizon Posting: Ribbon text posting control.

Symbols: Shot and CDP symbol posting control.

3D Seismic Properties

Line/Ribbon: Appearance of the line and ribbon for 3D seismic data

Labels: Appearance of labels for 3D seismic data.

Posting: Line and trace posting controls.

Horizon Posting: Ribbon text posting control.

Symbols: Line and Trace symbol posting control.

SEG-P Properties

Line/Ribbon: Appearance of the line and ribbon for SEG-P data

Labels: Appearance of labels for SEG-P data.

Posting: Shot and CDP symbol posting control.

Horizon Posting: Ribbon text posting control.

Symbols: Shot and CDP symbol posting control.

Grid Properties

Line/Ribbon: Appearance of the line and ribbon for grid data

Labels: Appearance of labels for grid data.

Well Properties

General: General settings for well display.

Posting: Create/Modify text posting of information around a well.

Ribbons: Display well data as ribbons on a well.

Criteria/Bubbles: Create/Modify criteria (bubbles/symbols) for wells.

Curves: Display settings for log curves data.

Curve Top Ticks: Display settings for formation/top ticks on displayed curved.

Deviation Top Ticks: Display settings for formation/top ticks as drawn along deviation surveys.

Deviation Display: Display setting for color applied to a deviation survey based of formation/top depths.

Mistie Settings

General: Appearance settings for mistie results.

Cross Section Settings
