1. Press   icon on the Fault Toolbar or select Delete Fault  from the Fault Menu.

2. Press  icon on the Fault Toolbar or select Reassign from the Fault Menu.
   
   

3. Using the left mouse button (LMB) either:
   1. Click on a single fault, or  
   2. Hold down the left mouse button and draw a polygon around a segment/group of segments. Right mouse button to end the selection.

4. When the Fault Assignment dialog opens select the name of the segment to be renamed and either specify and existing name, or create a new name, specifying the Name, Color, and Type.
   
   

5. Click  to complete.

Note: If using the polygon mode of selection, if one node of an existing fault  segment falls within the polygon, it will appear in the list so that the entire segment can be deleted.
