Import Tools: Log Curve Ranges
You can import log curve ranges from a text file, allowing you to have the same log curve ranges in multiple projects, and quickly populate the log curve ranges in new projects. You can open the Open Log Curve Range File dialog box by selecting Log Curve Ranges from the Import options in the File menu in the 3D View, Map View, and Section View windows. This dialog box can also be opened directly from the log curve selection dialog boxes in each main workspace.
You can see the current log curve ranges in the 3D View Log Curve Selection dialog box. When you import a log curve range file, the Min and Max values are updated for any curve contained in the file.

The log curve range file is a columnar ASCII file, with any extension. Each row in the file should contain the name of the curve, followed by the minimum and maximum curve values, all separated by a space or a tab. The following example uses a space delimiter:
GR 0 120
POR 0.2 0.9
If the file contains more log types than are present in the project, they will be ignored.

- Navigate to the location of the correctly formatted log curve range file.
- Select the file and click
. The Min and Max values will be updated for all of the curves that are contained in the file and in the project.
